BEYOND THE SHELF – Coming to the End of NaNoWriMo 2019
Welcome to BEYOND THE SHELF on
SHANNON MUIR’S THE PULP AND MYSTERY SHELF!
BEYOND THE SHELF is general commentary about the blog or the mystery and crime writing business by author and site administrator Shannon Muir that doesn’t fall in the scope of a regular column. For this weekend, the column will appear on Saturday and Sunday, and then reappear again at the end of the year. The topic today focuses on coming to the end of NaNoWriMo 2019.
I’ll start and get the hard part out of the way first… I did not make 50,000 words.
I also didn’t write every day.
But I choose to look at the positives.
- I got over 13,000 words done that made me discover lots of new things about my characters by pushing me to try to explore avenues and help me rewrite with confidence.
- I was involved with a “write-in” where I got to meet other writers.
These are wins. And I am happy for them.
