Synopsis
Nick and Nora aren’t just pussyfooting around this time as they deal with a missing person’s case and murder.
While catering a gala for the Cruz Museum, Nora Charles agrees to look into the disappearance of director Violet Crenshaw’s niece, a case previously undertaken by her frisky feline friend Nick’s former owner, a private eye whose whereabouts are also currently unknown.
As Nora and her curious cat Nick pull at the string of clues, they begin to unravel a twisted tale of coded messages, theft, false identities, murder, and international espionage. Nora dares to hope that the labyrinth of leads will not only help them locate the missing young woman, but also solve the disappearance of the detective. That’s if Nora can stay alive long enough to find him…

INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR
What initially got you interested in writing?
I’ve been interested in writing since I was three years old. My mother would read stories to me and if I did not like the endings I’d make my own up. I’ve loved mysteries since I read my first Nancy Drew at age 10.
What genres do you write in?
Right now cozy mysteries, but I have written horror and paranormal under Toni Lotempio
What drew you to writing these specific genres?
I’ve always been a big mystery nut, first with Nancy Drew and then Erle Stanley Gardner, Agatha Christie, etc. I’ve also always loved Stephen King and John Saul, hence the love of horror.
How did you break into the field?
With difficulty LOL. I had been published by a small press and self published my paranormals when I finally landed an agent for one of my paranormals. We didn’t sell that one (yet) but then I got the idea for the Nick and Nora mysteries and after a rewrite, Penguin bought it in 2014.
What do you want readers to take away from reading your works?
I want them to find enjoyment and an escape from their problems.
What do you find most rewarding about writing?
So often in life things happen that we absolutely cannot control; in writing you are the captain of the ship, master of fate – it’s the one instance where I’m in complete control (until my agent or publisher wants me to change something LOL)
What do you find most challenging about writing?
For m e it’s keeping all the plot points straight, probably because my writing schedule is so erratic due to the fact I have a full time day job.
What advice would you give to people wanting to enter the field?
Read, read, read and write, write, write! And Never Give UP
What type of books do you enjoy reading?
I love all types of mysteries, Stephen King, and thrillers alal my favorite, James Patterson. I also enjoy reading true crime fiction, which is probably why the character of Nora is a former true crime reporter.
Is there anything else besides writing you think people would find interesting about you?
I’m a big animal lover and I currently have two shelter cats; I and my cat ROCCO also do fundraisers for Nathan Fillions charity, KIDS NEED TO READ.
What are the best ways to connect with you, or find out more about your work?
Our blog, www.catsbooksmorecats.blogspot.com is the best way. We feature author interviews, giveaways, and you can always find out where I am and what I’m doing, what my latest release is there! And, of course, Facebook and Twitter!
